ESPN scroll says NCAA finds that Kindal Briles and another Baylor coach (Tate Wallis) committed recruiting infractions and upholds Baylor's self-imposed penalties on coaches, in addition to a $5K fine.

Looks Like O was smart to steer clear of both Briles'...

link to Dallas paper

It will be interesting to see if this dissuades Kiffin at all.

Now that Stidham is off the board my interest in Briles has died off.

Fine turned out to be small. However, Briles had no idea what the penalty would be when he blatantly committed the violations and the even bigger kicker-- didn't even get the recruits.

If Rhule is smart, he will shitcan those two coaches and get away from the Briles stench surrounding baylor football.

Kiffen won't and I doubt FAU coach Kiffin would either.

Baylor scored like 15 ppg less this season without Art. So I'm not exactly sold on Kendal yet.

The Briles Boys have some rehabilitating to do. I was NEVER on either one of them to join our program. Canada is a much better fit and OC. Art was the mastermind of the offense, but his blind eye to rape is something that we could/should/did not want.

This just helped him to go get Kendal Briles.

Kiffin is no stranger to recruiting violations.

Why would you take Brikes and his NCAA violations in a second when O backed into a great offensive coordinator without any NCAA charges against him. Is winning all that is important or should LSU take a higher road? Some of you are unbelievable and I don't want my alma mater stunk up with this "anything goes" type of coach (Brikes Kiffin) as long as you win. O almost waited too long on his best buddy who was never coming to LSU in waiting for Kiffin, another examplary coach and person, nearly losing both qb commitments before righting the ship after Kiffin used O and LSU for leverage. O made a great recovery by hiring Coach Canada and locking up Corey Raymond. I think he probably learned a lesson and we are all hoping that O will succeed in directing the program at the school he loves. I also really respect his loyalty to Steve Ensminger who revitalized a dead playbook by tweaking it and working his butt off. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to the Tiger Nation and GEAUX O in leading the Tigers.

Orgeron never said he was waiting for Kiffin. Everyone ASSUMED he was, but it was and always has been speculation. I'm glad we got Canada out of the deal.
