Finebaum at lunch on ESPN said Saban has 30 dedicated shadow staff reviewing 8 years of film of Chris Peterson coached teams and counting the times he runs each play.

We need THAT shite.

That has consistently been a big difference between LSU and Alabama over the past few years. We can't compete with them regarding the amount of employees they have doing things like this.

Just wait until all the programs start to catch up and the NCAA limits analyst staffs.

I'm calling it right now.

I don't believe this. Sure, they are breaking down film, but 8 years worth would not be valuable. Different players, different strengths, etc.

And this whole shadow staff thing sounds like too many cooks in the kitchen. Sure, I'm all for extra guys to break down film, but 30? That seems excessive and wasteful. (if it's even true).

LSU needs to make an offer to Broderick Fobbs from Grambling. This dude can coach his butt off he would be a great addition to our staff. I wouldn't even mind him as an on field coach.

Its being reported by numerous media outlets. He requested 8 years of film on Petersen.

Soooooo you're saying Saban doesn't know what he's doing here?

How is more information not valuable? Peterson isn't coming at Saban with any gameplan he's run this season. I think if Saban has the resources to review Petersen's entire playcalling history, that's a huge advantage.

If Petersen is human, there will be patterns. And Saban knows that.

I believe they requested, but they aren't breaking down and documenting 8 years of plays.

They are likely looking for specific things.
