No, Lane’s agent is Jimmy Sexton. He’s going to float his name for every big job that comes open and Ole Miss just needs to get used to it.
Its why I have not bought this Lane chatter at all. Roberts was much too quiet during the AD search and nothing leaked until the hire was basically made. Don’t see him varying from that.

So now Dabo is Auburn’s backup choice cause Lane turned them down
My God you can’t even come up with rational narratives.
In reality Auburn may have gauged Lane’s interest and Sexton has run with that while Auburn looked at a couple of bigger names.
I’m just speculating but there is NO way Lane was the first choice if Auburn thinks Dabo is in play.
Also any coach who lost to Bryan fricking Harsin should be struck off any list at Auburn.
