one thing about meyer, who's to say that loyal Lloyd and his chronies wouldn't interfere with Meyer if he goes to Michigan?
Carr and co. make it no secret that they'll do what it takes if they don't get their way, so how would this be any different than a meddling AD at UF?

UM has a 2% chance at landing Meyer.
They are more than likely waiting on an NFL guy

Dont see a reason for Myers to move. He is contending for the BCSNC and SECCG next year. Then again, he has already won that. So what not try something else if indeed he wants that.

Maybe Urban is one of these coaches who can't stay somewhere for very long either. I don't know. He was at Bowling Green for a few years. He was then at Utah for a few years. And now Florida.
I just don't see him leaving, but anything is possible.

But doesn't he have an escape clause in his contract for 3 team? .... Notre Dame, Ohio State and MICHIGAN.
Not saying he is leaving, or even would leave. But he is a midwest guy, and I can tell you, I have a midwest wife, and some friends from the midwest, the South is a different place, and many midwesterners don't like it. My wife said she would never live in the south .... go figure.

If they wait until January, they are either getting an NFL guy or Les Miles.

Make a list of the BCS coaches and rank the probability that they will go to MICH

He had a clause at Utah. But the last I saw of his FLA contract he has no restrictions, other than a simple penalty ($150,000) for leaving early. He can talk to whoever he wants, but only between 12/1 and 1/1 or the bowl game, which ever is longer without repercussions. Any other time and he can be discharged and the penalties are quite large.
Lloyd is a lot of things, but not a meddler. Bo was very careful to never interfer with either Moeller or Carr, yet he maintained an office in the football building. Both Lloyd and Bo independently commented that they talked about the program only twice (both Lloyd initiated) during Carr's tenure. Both times about handling player indiscretions. That is the standard that Lloyd would follow and the University would expect.
Besides, Bo was an icon at Michigan, it was understood that he would be sought out on issues and have to make statements. Lloyd could never control that, but it was never an issue, because Bo would not talk about Lloyd's program. Conversely, Lloyd is a good guy, but not an icon. Less likely folks will be chasing him down to comment on much of anything.

Rich Rod is up to bat.
This came out of nowhere, but I have the strangest feeling that Rodriguez would leave West Virginia for Michigan.

Quite obvious they are going after a NFL cood.
Or, they are acting as though they want to interview NFL candidates (including Head Coaches), which won't be available for a while.

Everything I've read is that Carr doesn't like Meyer and that Meyer tried a few times to get hired at UM and Carr wouldn't hire him.

Rocket; Carr said that he believes Meyer is everything that is right about college football. They seem to get along fine.

Now that's funny!

Meyer would very seriously consider Michigan
Yeah that makes sense. Leave a team that will be preseason #1 next year, after piledriving UM on Jan 1, 08, to take over a major rebuilding program for a salary that has only 50% of the potential that UF has.
:rotflmao:
Oh and in the words of Lloyd Bentsen to UM, I know Florida. Florida is my friend, and you sir are no Florida.
