agree/disagree:

The next LSU basketball coaching search will begin in March 2009.

Disagree, I don't see why he should be given another year. But with switching AD's, who knows?

March 2009 will be the beginning of the new AD's first men's basketball offseason; wouldn't that be the perfect time to get rid of him, assuming he's to be gotten rid of?

Depends on how the team does in 2009 when hopefully all will be healthy, experienced after this year and a nice infusion of talented freshmen. That will be teh make it break it year.

An SEC title and Final Four happened in those years. It was a good thing we kept Brady as long as through 2006. It may be a good thing to get rid of him in 2008.

Economics are going to get Brady. If he can't put asses in the seats he's gone. Brady hasn't reached that level of apathy yet. Skip's not going to fire Brady, Lombardi's going to axe him.

For the life of me I can't understand why any LSU fan continues to root for the mens basketball team this year.

If they even sniff the NIT Brady will likely be back again.

I love LSU and I want our basketball program to be relevant once more. That's why I am hoping we lose every SEC game by 20 or more points.

frick Brady.

Agree, though it may start sooner.

I think the people who disagree, for the most part, have not followed LSU basketball very closely. The majority of fans have been displeased with Brady for most of his tenure, not just since last year. Brady bought himself some good will with the final 4 run and then promptly squandered it last season. This season is just too bad to ignore.

Because we're LSU fans. That truth is self-evident.

I think that you're right. The AD position will probably have to be filled first. I don't think that Skip wants to deal with firing any coaches if he doesn't have to do so. It will likely be understood with the new AD that he has to replace Brady UNLESS the new recruits plus Tasmin and this year's cast are all healthy and the team does well. In that case, it'll be "deja vu all over again."

Lombardi will axe Brady after the season, and hopefully he can work the same magic he did at Florida when he hired Billy D.
