re: Pro's and Con's of Saban Leaving Bama for Texas

The Big 12 is a huge con because it is the 5th best conference with the least TV exposure and worst schedule. The LHN also essentially puts up to 3 games a year on a network no one sees. Texas has 1 game a year that anyone cares about and this year A&M/Ole Miss had higher ratings than that game on the same day.

If Texas wants to get in the playoff they also have to go undefeated. A single loss likely knocks them out because of SoS and they are coming from the weakest of the 5 Major Conferences. If the Playoff were in place this year though Bama would be in it in spite of not even winning the SEC, just as Bama was in the NC 2 years ago.
