It's funny, when the defense plays great...we have the best talent in the country.

When the defense plays poorly...Pelini has to go.

The road goes both ways.

Sometimes the schemes are wrong, sometimes the players frick up.

If somebody doesn't blow the coverage on the 4th down play in OT we're still #1.

The scheme worked, the player blew an assignment.

But if we'd have blitzed and the FB squeezes through and catches a TD, people would still have bitched.

None of these coaches can win with some of you people.

I disagree with that...he took a 7-7 sorry arse Nebraska defense a few years back and brought them to the number 5 ranked defense in the country.

I get what you're saying, but I'm sorry.

Tennessee game proved his inability to make adjustments in-game, as did the SEC Championship game against Georgia.

When was the last time we SERIOUSLY blitzed??? VA Tech??? I'm sorry, the defensive philosophy at LSU is speed and pressure, pressure, pressure! That's what a majority of these athletes were brought in to play, and it's just not happening. It's the defensive equivalent of Miles/Crowton not properly utilizing their running backs, which is something I've bitched about all season.

I think his defensive philosophy is perfect for the Big XII, good enough in the SEC.

Since when does a school have a defensive philosophy?

Agree with it or not, the DC and HC decide the philosophy...not Space Man.

"If somebody doesn't blow the coverage on the 4th down play in OT we're still #1."

I dont think its blown coverage when the QB has more than 6 seconds to throw the ball because you send 3 or maybe 4 players at the QB.

LSU plays a ZONE coverage the worst enemy of a zone is time. The longer WRs have to run through a zone the more likely they will find a hole. You cant expect a zone to hold for as long as it did on that play. The guy that is making the big salary is responsible for getting players in position to make a play.

Really, is that why he had to move outside the pocket and fire across the field to find the open receiver where a defender rolled to the other side leaving his assignment?

From ESPN:

Apparently, LSU defensive coordinator Bo Pelini didn't knock A.D. Tom Osborne's socks off during the interview and doesn't feel good about it.

damn, apparently someone needs to teach Bo how to interview better. Sheesh

Either that or Osborne was a good coach and a good football mind and knows Pelini's defense is a heaping pile of shite against teams with a mobile or good QB.
