Sure, he's a monster recruiter as a position coach assigned a particular area.
But his recruiting ability as a head coach will also depend on his ability to build a program that top recruits want to play for.
Will he be guaranteed to reel in top five classes? That is by no means a certainty.

He did pretty well at OM. Set the team up for Nutt's success. That wasn't his downfall there.
