I don't see how anyone can give a grade until the hire is made. Do all this shite an end up with a dud? Obviously people will act like ermehrgerd Texas is so stupid!!! Do the opposite and the same people will call them geniuses because one guy offered decided to say yes.

Bama was sitting on about a 9 back in 2006... then they pulled off the best coaching hire in college football history.
let it play out... sure, it appears to be a disaster right now, but the only thing that matters is who they hire.

only thing bigger in texas is egos. they muddied the waters. but you don't think those vatican rich guys know how to deal with damage control?
They might end up with Les. and they will be seen as ego-maniacs that messed up a sure thing with saban.
or, they sign saban after the bowl game. and the same ego-maniacs are seen as genius.
i would be willing to bet sexton chewed some asses after the leaks started. thus the 8 person committee. buying time / deflection. smoke normally = fire.

0. Texas wasn't going to hire a new coach until after the bowl game anyhow. No coach would take that job, with Mack Brown still there to coach the bowl game.

Too early to call but it's sitting at a 7 right now. Something tells me they will pull a good hire out of their arse.
