Great at shaking hands and saying the right things. Great recruiter and will be hands off with his coordinators.

That's great as long as you have great coordinators. I like the guy but really worry about the program long-term when Aranda leaves. Almost all legit NC contenders have a true X & Os genius for one side of the ball as HC.

The exception is Dabo who is a Southern Baptist version of O. His shtick would be eaten up just as much North of I-10 in LA as O's is in South LA.

People really need to stop being so emotional and think tactically. But it's LA and most people are idiots.

I believe O will fail miserably, but can't we PLEASE just give him a 2/3 year contract???? He's a Louisiana guy and LOVES LSU. That in itself is good enough for me!!

I think O and Les are pretty similar in the sense that both require great coordinators.

At least O recognizes he doesn't know shite about offense though so I give him an advantage over Les there.

Defensive Line coaches are right in line with Wide Receiver coaches in the "knows and understands the big picture" of the game.

This comparison is an insult to Mack Brown. For all his faults he did run a successful program at Texas, at least for a while. O was a miserable failure in his stint at Ole Miss.

yea except Archer was the worst recruiter to coach at LSU in the last 40 years and O would be the close to the best right behind Saban.

Funny, Urban Meyer was a WR coach in his last three gigs before becoming the head coach at Bowling Green. Don't remember anybody ever saying Urban didn't know shite about football or understand the big picture.

1989 Illinois State (QB/WR)
1990–1995 Colorado State (WR)
1996–2000 Notre Dame (WR)
2001–2002 Bowling Green

Would you be upset if coach O had the exact same resume as Mack Brown at the end of his tenure or something?

I am getting hammered by many of my facebook friends on my support of Fisher. They say he sucks, cannot control his team, they see Fisher, they see les. I am still waiting on 3 reasons why O is a better hire than fisher. All say he turned around the 2016 season.

O is the Cajun archer. The fan base acted the exact same way in 87. They said he is our guy. So they hired archer and left a young Steve Spurrier hanging. Went 10-1. Fans were like yep.. we good. In 88 went 8-4. Won the SEC. lost to Syracuse in what is known as the Outback bowl. 89 went 4-7, 90 went 5-6. And the decline was in full motion. I will never forget that outstanding 1992 2-9 season. Archer unlike O sucked at recruiting. Unlike 1987, LsU's program is setup to be a solid #2 and #1 team in the conference . Just needs an oil change, not a radical change to the whole System. I wouldn't hire O in 87. Why in the hell should LsU consider O now with the program as a legit contender in the SEC. people are not seeing the forest through the trees.

Hallman had a huge class. Remember Jermaine Sharp. Also recruited gabe northern who to this day was one of our best pass rushers. But hallman couldn't coach if life depended on it.
