OC & DC positions had to be locked up before this hire...right?

My bama source just confirmed this is true.

What you think is common sense, think the opposite and that's what happened

I would have liked to hear the conference call with Kiffin.

It's LSU, nothing is a "lock" except bad decisions.

I'm seriously concerned about Aranda leaving to Texas and also Kiffin getting a HC offer.

Kiffin's motivation would be
1. More $$
2. Work with good friend Orgeron
3. Not get yelled at anymore by Saban

Yeah, I'm sure Kiffin has already accepted a job as the same position he currently has under a less experienced coach and a program less likely to increase his value, before the regular season is over, in the middle of an undefeated season where Alabama has been ranked #1 since the start of the year, where he's about to lead a true freshman QB to winning the SEC for the third time in a row, because Ed O has binders full of finger paintings.

I would really like to see Orgerons pitch. Motherfricker must be like Tony Robbins

Everything you said is true, but working under Saban must suck for him and him and Orgeron are friends. I don't even want Kiffin, but just pointing out that there is a chance at least that he comes.

All true.....but what is also true is that Saban is hard to work for. He has as much staff turnover as anyone. It never matters, he wins regardless, but no one is going be shocked if Lane leaves.

I'd be surprised if that happened. My point is that whomever the OC will be, surely that was known by LSU administration before hiring O.

I will take off by resentment cap for Lane Kiffin and say why would you want him to come to LSU when you know you'll lose him within a couple of years and what if LSU is primed for a run and he gets an offer for HC?

This is always a possibility with any good assistant coach.
