Not hiring kiffin would be an emotional decision.

Find it interesting that those that were against the O hire said it's an emotional hire. Yet people are voting against lane kiffin for OC. Isn't this based on emotion?
Kiffin is a much more established recruiter as well as a play caller to fit his players. Yet people are voting for Canada based on emotion. (Not liking kiffin the person vs oc)

All those great verbal contracts and handshake agreements that always work out for LSU. The fact is none of us know, but this hiring process or lack there of hasn't been very promising. Seems like we're kiffin or bust at this point, and betting on that could backfire horribly.

I know exactly who he is. You make my point for me. When you say baggage and troubles you are basing it on emotion. If kiffin doesn't have baggage or troubles in your eyes you wouldn't choose Canada.

There we go. Now you're statement is accurate.
Eta: not wanting to hire a guy because of past issues or troubles on his coaching resume is not making an emotional decision. It's called weighting good against the bad. It's something you do in a proper coaching search, but LSU doesn't know how to do one of those apparently.
