Who in the hell is Skip and NASA Man going to hire if Les leaves.

I'll preface this post by saying that I realy don't care if Miles leaves or stays. The way I see it is last Friday was the culmination of the thouhgts and fears I had when Skip hired Les back in early '05 (that he's a mediocre coach that will win with a boatload of talent, but that inevitably will be the architect of the decline and fall of the LSU Empire...much like Larry Coker at Miami). I could be wrong (like I was about Mack Brown), and if he stays, he could be the architect of more great recruiting classes that would allow him to vault LSU to another MNC. I certainly hope the latter is true, as my pride can handle the bittersweet vindication of someone I've spoken wrong against, but cannot handle another November 23, 2007.

Anyway, back to my post...

I'm really concerned that Skip is going to put on his "Joe Dean" hat and submit an offer to (yes, I'll say it...flame away) another mediocre head coach, who may not be as good as Miles.

I guess it was my time spent as an undergrad at LSU under the Dean regime that causes this anxiety, but I don't think Skip's much better. Look at how he's handled basketball and baseball.

National dominance seems to be a collateral consideration when he's making decisions.

Just an opinion.

Neither will make the decision.....so stop the worries.

I work in Westmoreland and live in Wamego. I go to the Buffalo Wild Wings in Topeka to watch games I can't get at home (Middle TN & LA Tech). I hear that St. Mary's has a pub that has the direct ticket, but I've never went and asked.

You know, there are a few LSU fans here in Wamego. One guy works at the local Caterpillar plant just got out of the Army and is from Metarie. Another girl I know is from Baton Rouge...she lives in Wamego, but told me recently that she's thinking about heading back to the promised land (Red Stick).

I think there are alot of LSU fans in Kansas because of the mutual Army ties (Ft. Leavenworth & Riley).

Yeah, I'm down with catching a game. I've also thought about starting an alumni association...if for nothing else to get on DandyDon's website as a "reader comment."
