The Steelers have had FIVE COACHES EVER.

What? Since they became they Steelers they've had 11 guys coach at least 10 games: Tomlin, Cowher, Noll, Austin, Nixon, Parker, Kiesling, Bach, Michelosen, Sutherland, & Leonard.

I’m guessing he was referencing since the AFL-NFL merger in 1966 where most places cut off their stats and records. The point remains the same either way

This Tomlin shite didn’t float down from Mars. He knows exactly whats up! This response is either a smokescreen or LSU and USC didn’t meet his demands This

Good God dude, go find the response by Ryan Clark on sportscenter he tells us it was him who started the rumor by saying he wanted lsu to throw as much money as they could at him and then it was like a game of telephone after that

Good god dude did Ryan Clark also connect him to the USC opening? I’ve seen other outlets making that claim. Is Ryan Clark responsible for that too? Good god dude !

He works for a great organization, from what I recall never coached in college, the Steelers job is probably a top 5 job why would he leave there? He ain’t going to college.
I stand corrected he’s coached in college for about 5 years.

Once again, this is not a surprise. Ryan Clark started this silly rumour. He is again shown to have no credibility whatsoever.

he came across as kind of a dick here

is it too hard to say, hey its good to be wanted but no I am not interested? he sort of acted like the CFB world was beneath him

That's exactly how it came across to me too

Could have shown a little class and been gracious and just put the rumors to bed but he had to act the smarta$$.

Years ago, some Texas booster said he was the coach they wanted. You know that was some rich old a-hole with Longhorns on the hood of his car and an oil well in his front yard. Ever since then, he gets mentioned in connection with any primo college job. It’s silly. No way in hell would the Rooneys let Tomlin leave. And he’s got enough cachet built up in Pittsburgh that he would need to have multiple shitty seasons before they canned him.

Are your feelings hurt that LSU doesn’t matter as much as the NFL?

Do you not understand how insulting it had to be for him to have to answer a question like that? He answered it exactly as he should have.
