No, I know ball control and defense wins championship with sec teams though.

At least in the last 7 years.

IMO, Mike Leach would be a pretty good hire. I do not think he will be the best hire, but I do believe that we will have success under him. All of you that think he would be a disaster give me 1 good reason besides "Leach's spread attack will not fit". What in the world makes you think that he just has to run the spread?? Mike Leach is a smart man, and he will run an offense that his weapons will support. Not to mention, while at Texas Tech, Leach had 2 running backs go for over 900 yards in consecutive seasons. Some people need to do a little research before posting nonsense.

Now that this is behind me, I think Fuente from TCU is the guy.

If Miles hires leach and gives him the keys to the bus we will be playing for an SEC title next season. Leach is a master of using talent to the best of its ability

I agree with pretty much everything here plus his wideouts know how to catch the damn ball when they are wide open.

The best way to describe Leach's air raid is that it is to the passing game what the triple option is to the running game. While they can both level the playing field with lesser talent, they will both get beaten regularly by highly athletic defenses. Too one dimensional to win in the SEC.

You really think Les and for that matter Leach doesn't know that?

Well then why hire a guy and ask him to change what he's been running his entire career instead of hiring someone who has proven that he can run a scheme that you agree with?

Leach would take advantage of the horses LSU has at tailback. Believe me, they would get incorporated, and LSU would play for an SEC title next year. Leach never had his hands on LSU's talent.

Because the guy wins, and he understands how to use talent to its best ability. Made Texas freaking Tech into a legit team in the Big 12, and can score points in bunches. Which is what LSU needs.

Well since you and your crystal ball is all we have to base this on, I will continue to be skeptical.

What LSU needs is an OC that can utilize our power running game and set up the PA pass. Ball control is your friend when you have a lights out defense.

People fail to take into account what our team is built for, including a look at the defensive side of the ball. And everyone is acting like the coaching dynamic with Leach as the OC would be good. Leach has the head coach mentality and is the most outspoken coach/former coach in the country. That sort of dynamic may not be beneficial to our program if something doesn't go exactly the way we hope it will.

FIFY.

Mike Leach working with Miles would be a complete disaster.

And there is no reason to believe he would change his style.

Let's just hire Rich Rod and tell him to go pro sytle.

I agree about ball control. Whether you get first downs with running or passing or both, you can still keep the clock moving as long as you stay inbounds.

Ridley is gone. We dont even have a power running game already anyway. So what's your point?

And there is a monster load of talent on offense, even at tailback, so you have to believe he would change his style. Even though he wouldnt have to change much, because his shite works.

Well let's not change anything then from the last offense if this is the case.

Ever wonder if there was a reason Leach didn't have a better tailback at Texas Tech?

And his shite does work. In fact, if we were playing in CUSA, I'd be all for Leach.
