Maybe LSU Admin knows no Fisher/Herman in 2017

To the "No to O" crowd:
If you follow Random's recent posts...and noticed the silence elsewhere on the Fisher/Herman front (ideally nothing would be clear cut this time of the year, but there as been no smoke lately) then I think that maybe LSU admins know, after the feelers they sent, that neither one of those guys are interested.
So, the folks in know are maybe ramping a O pr campaign while betting that he do good this year to make his coronation to coach be viewed as the admins first choice instead of potential brand damage if publicly shunned by fisher/Herman (like some other big schools have dealt with in recent years)
So for the folks bashing O and taking this "Fisher/Herman or bust stance" maybe realize that LSU may not be able to get those guys - and in a back channel way, they have made that known to LSU.

O shouldnt be anywhere near as high as #3 on the list unless he wins out, including the SECCG

If that is the case then they are making a huge bet on Coach O and not looking at the schedule that closely. It is a gauntlet that LSU almost has no chance of coming through unscathed, but if they do than Coach O deserves the shot for that simple fact NO ONE thinks we can win out.

I'm not lobbying for O. What I'm saying is if LSU don't get Herman or Fisher then it may not be their fault.
Look at media abuse LSU took even though UF screwed up...could you imagine the onslaught (and brand hit) if both fisher and Herman publicly shunned LSU? i imagine LSU realizes that to an degree and is seeing how O pan out in a public interview before courting the next tier candidates

Already been discussed. I think it's more probable that:
1)as said before, it's October.
2) they, hopefully, learned from last year and are keeping things as quiet as possible, especially with how early it is.
3) they are purposefully leaking O info in order to appear they are giving him a fair shot, but they are quietly going all in on Herman or Jimbo.
4) jimbo talk has quieted down because DA isn't here to post his jimbo attention threads.
If our AD is ramping us up for an O hire based on mizzou and USM he deserves to be fired, immediately. They should have at least 5 other candidates above coach O.

You'd think after the last 15 years, LSU fans would realize this is an elite program. But apparently the 2nd class mentality and insecurity are hard to break.

Uh, I never said LSU wasn't an elite job. And I'm sure fisher and Herman think LSU is an elite job. But the sheer fact that a job is elite doesn't mean people will jump at it. There are other life factors they maybe considering than just the sheer job

yup. last year it was easy to get information. not like it was hard to see who they wanted but this year they are keeping it close to the vest. some feel because information was leaked out was a reason why things changed at the last minute.

I choose to believe that this is a good sign. That maybe we have our guy locked up, and the guy just doesn't want it leaked and no one wants to frick it up on our end.
