Are you all getting worried that Coach O is in way over his head? He swung for the fences with Kiffin and now he's in damage control mode. It just seems like the guy made promises to get the HC position and now he's lost the binder.

Your coach was 1 second away from being fired....likely....

instead Les was fired..

he went for what he perceived to be the best fit and the guy was hired to be a HC

The realists out there were not happy about the O hire in the first place. Now we are scrambling to get the best seats to watch the world burn. O in over his head is just par for the course.

Don't really know what this has to do with my question, but my coach will be coaching in the sugar bowl, so there's always that

Good to know, but O will still be your HC.

Congrats on your 4 loss season and getting blown out by your in-state rival again. Your Coach is a genius, you guys should sign him to at least a 10 year extension.

Most understand Kiffin was only a possibility if he didn't take a HC job. Now that he did, you move on to the next best candidate. That's not on O. You can't fault Kiffin for taking a HC job if that is what he wanted.

I really don't see how O could possibly do worse than Miles has done the past 4 years.

Miles was a complete hindrance on the team's play while O is the opposite being an excellent motivator and hands off. The only thing Miles had going for him was recruiting and O does it better.

I'm not saying O was the best hire, but he sure is a hell of a lot better than keeping Miles.

Congrats on 5 losses this season, considering the Sugar Bowl. Next year, we'll snap the ball sooner.

Bad enough some of our own idiot fans are pushing this false narrative. There is not one person on this whole site spouting about this "promise" Orgeron made to deliver Kiffin who actually knows it to be a fact. I'm sure he told Alleva he felt like he had a great shot at Kiffin and probably relayed the things that Kiffin had told him. This is NOT a promise.

And if O indeed brings in Canada, no, I'm not worried about him being in over his head. I'll reserve judgment until he gets into his first full season as full-time head coach and react accordingly.

Go worry about your own shitty team.
