Do you think Les has too much pride to go to a smaller conference school? It seems he hasn't been a target for power 5 schools originally rumored and the clock is ticking.

He's definitely getting a big dose of reality now.

He's currently in the Phil Fulmer "facing reality" mode now. Fulmer wanted to coach again and never got an offer. If Les is smart he will try out TV during the college football bowl season as a guest contributor and see how that goes.

Why? Dude couldn't coach a homeless guy to the free food and beer line.

I have a real good feeling that the free market is about to prove all the "nega tigers " right.

If Petrino leaves Louisville, I would think they at least give Les a look.

Well the only schools (currently) I could see are Purdue, Baylor, Houston, and maybe a Rutgers if they decide to part ways with their HC. I think Purdue will hire Fleck, Baylor might give him a look but I see them hiring a guy like Dykes, and I see Houston promoting Applewhite to HC so that leaves a Rutgers. Think that would be perfect for him. In the B10, program can only go up, they'd love him, and he'd bring in some talent

If he goes this route, he loses his buyout payments. He has to make a good faith effort to find another coaching job.

I don't think he'd work out as a TV commentator. Yes, his quirkiness and manner of speech would be interesting at first (and he's clearly a likeable guy) but people will eventually figure out that he has trouble articulating complete thoughts.
