What has Cristobal done as a coach to put him above Napier or Freeze?

Well that’s what I get for listening to Auburn fans and not doing my own research

Kevin Steele was a head coach for four years and finished last in the Big 12 South every one of them, granted it was at Baylor, but still.

Firing Malzahn was probably the right decision assuming they can make a good hire. Spending $21 million to fire Malzahn and replacing him with Kevin Steele would be an epic act of program suicide.

Gus beat Cristobal head to head so it’d be a page out of the same book when we hired Saban after DiNardo’s team destroyed his MSU team in that bowl game

What can AU offer Christobal that Oregon can't? He can recruit top 10 classes at either school, but Oregon has an immensely easier path to the playoffs. And Oregon can pay anything they want to pay if they think Christobal is worth matching whatever crazy money AU might throw at an unproven coach.
