Because of the friendship between he and Coach O, would he be a viable Offensive Coordinator if Coach O is retained and Lane does not get a Head gig next year?

nope....see his departure from tennessee after one year. It was almost Petrino-esque totally lacking class.

And he was fired from his dream job and left the program in shambles. He is a very good OC but this scenario isn't what LSU needs. I wouldn't hate it, but more of a plan d or e.

Kiffin will get a HC coach gig this off season, at worst at his alma mater Fresno St.

That would be smart and interesting. He has so much potential, especially if he's matured as much as it appears.
