Kyle Shanahan may have turned down the SF OC interview for great reason.
Told his father Mike Shanahan is still in play for the job. #49ers

I had heard some rumblings that Rob Chudzinski was going to get the job, but given his ongoing status with the Indianapolis Colts, the 49ers are not allowed to say anything about it. I would be surprised if it was not Chudzinski, but I suppose anything is possible.

Could do a lot worse.

Junior and Senior?

A quick google shows that in America these are usually shortened to Jr and Sr. In the UK it's Jnr and Snr and doesn't apply explicitly to the same first and last names, but usually does...

ETA: and so I've edited the title.

Mike as OC would take the sting out of this HC hire for sure.

Fire Tomsula after one disastrous year and give it to (Mike) Shanahan?

I think Mike was interviewing for their HC job earlier this month...with his age and experience I doubt he would take an OC job
