Surely it cannot be impossible to lure one of the co-OC's from TCU to get a gig of his own.

I'd rather Cumbie, but I'd take both. Don't think you could lore them away from job security unless you offer a 3 year contract or enough money to pay for a few years of salary from the former job. Which that includes anyone really.

True. I like your idea on raiding Western Kentucky's staff. Assuming Les doesn't stay for longer than a couple years, the idea of hiring WKU's head coach to an OC spot as an audition for head coach of the future seems plausible.

What about Ron Roberts from Southeastern? Proven record as head coach at smaller schools, good offensive system.

I think the "smallest" school that LSU would turn to is an extremely successful Group of Five Conference team (i.e. Houston, Boise State)
