According to Bama pay sites, I believe Karl Scott was potentially interviewed for the DC spot. However, Wommack got the job. If LSU is targeting Karl Scott, we may hear some news today or tomorrow if he interviews of our own for the secondary coaching position. Some said he didnt want CO-DC and wanted sole playcalling duties. Lets see if he wants to even be a sole secondary coach.

He may wait for NFL DC jobs and see if they open up for him, considering the vast amount of openings in the NFL right now

Yea I was gonna add that in the OP. If I were him, I’d be in no rush to secure a job. He’s good enough someone will hire him. Would suck for LSU to hire him then he dips before season starts, leaving LSU without a coach. Kind of like the Cain scenario. We would have to rush to make a hire like we did with Lindsey. Make me think we may add Rushing as well just to be safe.

After seeing this I think lsu should go the Corey raymond/tj rushing route. Karl Scott seems like he wants more than to be a secondary coach and him being at lsu for a short term isn't in the best intrest for lsu and the players in the cb room

If he’s interviewing for DC positions then he’s not gonna come here to be a DB coach

He had history at Bama (2018-2020). Maybe he thought he could get back into a DC role with Deboer also coming from Seatte Washington area to Bama.

Great idea. Hire the one no one else is even contacting. This is akin to only dating the least desirable women so she’ll stay with you.

Unless he doesn’t get said DC jobs and LSU is offering him more money to be the DB coach than the NFL would
