Sources: Former #Patriots coach Bill Belichick will have a second interview with the #Falcons brass this weekend after meeting with owner Arthur Blank 1-on-1 this past week. Things are ramping up with the greatest coach of all time…

ATL Trade w WAS.

I don't think there is any way Washington is trading out of 2.

They are gonna have to trade up to 1 w/Chicago if they want a QB

And I like Maye the best of the 3.

JD to the Falcons.

I think they are gonna go the veteran route, Kirk Cousins is probably the most realistic. His wife is from the Atlanta area(Milton) so that could be a play.

Still doesn't mean that they don't draft a QB.

He was 36-44 in 5 seasons in Cleveland

That's interesting, because it gives him a winning percentage of .450

If you look at his non-Brady record in NE (2000, 2008, 2020 - 2023) he has a record of 45-54 in 6 seasons. Winning percentage of .455

Did not include 2001 because Bledsoe was injured in the 2nd game; although they were 0-2 before Brady took over

As a very jaded part-time Falcons fan, I think there is a pretty high percentage chance of bust with this, but it seems like something you've got to roll the dice on.

The potential of an all time coach hungry to prove his worth without Brady (hopefully) and the desire of Atlanta to get redemption from it's lowest point with the man who delivered it at the helm is too much to pass up.

5 years ago who would have had Brady eventually winning a Super Bowl in Tampa and Belichick coaching the Falcons.

It reminds me of Trumps campaign slogan.

What the hell do you have to lose?

The Atlanta Falcons have Bill Belichick as their top candidate, flying him into Atlanta on one of Arthur Blank's private planes last night. Dinner last night, more meetings to come, per multiple sources.

Yep, got played by the Belichick PR machine. They were so chatty ... That's why you saw the Falcons had to let folks know the search was still "wide open" because candidates were starting to wonder why even bother interviewing with them.
