no amount of money would have made fisher leave his son in florida to coach in another state.

He declined the 6.8 offer for 5 years and put 6.5 for 10 on the table. Semantics.

Jimbo's counter offer to LSU may have been about wanting a 10-year contract vs 5-year and perhaps also coaching staff stipulations. 10-year buyout would be HUGE. Then it would make sense for LSU to make a run at Herman -- to get ahead of UT with a tight window for Herman to accept a sure thing from LSU (vs UT) before Jimbo decides maybe he should take the 5-year offer. If Jimbo truly wants to come to LSU, that move by LSU might get Jimbo to take a 5-year deal.

So far it appears that everyone is playing this perfectly. They have everyone predicting so much shite no one knows what is going on. Sounds good to me.

Didn't say that it was a done deal yesterday. Still stand by the fact that Herman is coming and Jimbo backed out but some a-hole chose to blow the top off of the Herman discussions and cause a media frenzy. I do know that I have been right :) just hard to keep up when the admins whack my threads because I'm not Random(Fraud) or DALSU(not a fraud)

It should be, but last night may have ruined it with the media and win. The events of yesterday did take place and he was our target all week
