I'll predict that Sarkisian will be the OC hire with the Orgeron ties and, provided that his demons are in check, will be a better hire. Kiffin has done a good job at Alabama considering what is required of him, but LSU is going to need a passing game that requires throws beyond the line of scrimmage for at least 50% of the calls. Another plus is that Sark was ACTUALLY successful as a head coach (when he could stand up straight).

No dice. Saban is always three steps ahead. He brought in Sark because he wanted a seamless transition at OC after Kiffin is gone at the end of the year. We will pay in seven figures to ensure this. Saban learned from his mistake back when Mac left.

Sark is taking a high paying OC job now that's available over a support staff position that's indefinite.

Why would Sark leave Alabama for LSU if Kiffin takes a HC job?

Seven Win Steve was the very definition of mediocrity

Sark in South Louisiana would have the potential for an unbelievable meltdown

This whole thing has the beautiful potential for meltdowns. It will be entertaining to say the least.

In that scenario, he may not. But I'll answer you anyway:

1) LSU is in a position to pay him more right now, not because Bama can't, because Bama won't have to. Saban will just go make a decent hire and the offense will be fine. The D will always run the show there.

2) I'm guessing a guy with a history of drinking because of pressure might find it more ideal to be in a position where he's not getting nuts cut out on national TV by a screaming premie who proceeds to brag about it during the next press conference.
