I know they've been together for 3 decades at 4 different schools... curious as to why he hasn't been named yet?

Because our OLine coach right now is coaching the team as interim head coach and would be a very bad look to replace him at this point in time.

I read somewhere he had health issues, and is expected to retire. I'm looking for that story now.

Will probably be announced after the game.

I agree. If retaining Davis it gives Kelly a chance to see him work, if moving on from Davis then it doesn’t detract from his moment coaching the bowl game.

I think Davis is staying and that is the reason he is the interim coach. Woodward wanted to put someone in that position that he knew was going to be on staff next season.

I saw a plan floated somewhere that they could bring him in as TE coach and be able to keep Davis on the OL. That would be stout!

Davis signed a 3 year contract due to his late hire. I would suspect one way or the other he would stay, if not as an on field coach, at the very least support staff. Just guess, no sauces.

It's being reported that Quinn will NOT be returning to ND... however, landing spot is rumored to be Nebraska., not LSU.

Brad Davis is a good coach with deep ties to Louisiana and is a good recruiter. We need those things on staff with Brian Kelly.

If Frost just has a winning season he'll be retained. They showed life this year and he's made some solid coaching hires.

Just in general, it would be nice to see a coach be given time to turn it around and it work out. There needs to be more of that, especially at schools like Nebraska.

if he came on as co-oline or an assistant coach in some sort that would be great. Firing brad davis would be a pr blunder that Woodward and BK would not do.

And is a much better coach. Quinn is being confused with the semi legendary coach that retired recently. Quinn has/had only been the oline coach for ND since 2018.

Good point.

Davis has good connections to the BR area, and has recruited solid, such a players like Will Campbell who likes Davis a lot. Kelly sees no reason to let him go. All signs, and rumblings point to Davis being retained.
