No not backing off my statement that I believe it will be Tom Herman as our next coach, but another name was added to the list that I thought was interesting...

Matt Rhule... Temple Head Coach.. key thing said about him was that he has built a program..

this comes from my buddy in Atlanta.. Said his name was being thrown around for a few places, guess it means people are starting to notice what he is doing..

No I dont think he is anywhere close to a job like LSU but he is one that say a North Carolina would take a hard look at if Fedora left.. hope that makes sense..

Good coach. Think he needs a bigger job first before LSU. Worth an interview however.

I was going to post this yesterday. I keep catching their games and really like this guy. His record is meh but he's a fabtastic recruiter for Temple and has made huge success there.

there is ZERO chance we bring in a defensive minded guy while we have Aranda on staff, not to mention hes never worked anywhere near the south, he wouldnt even know where to start recruiting.

There's no guarantee Aranda will even BE on staff after we make our hire.

I agree on all fronts, but he has also coached offense.. he was the OC before he was named Head Coach... and not knowing anyone in the south didnt keep us from hiring Saban.. (I agree with you, just chose to play devils advocate there.)

Al Golden built it. The program had one down year under addazio and one under Rhule since golden's departure. Has he improved it since Addazio, yes. did he build it? hardly.

If we bring in people of that level for interviews, we damn sure better interview Fleck.

well its been said several times that any coach who wouldnt retain Aranda wont even be considered. presumably thats why every new coach Hero and others have mentioned (Herman, Fisher, Petrino, Fedora, Taggart) are offensive guys.

Orgeron would obviously keep him, Herman and Aranda were at Cal Lutheran together in the mid 90's, and Fisher desperately needs a new DC anyway.
