I think they have to look no further than the State of Mississippi for Alleva's replacement. The first two calls I would make would be Scott Strickland at State and Ross Bjork at Ole Miss.

Both ADs have taken proverbial grease fires athletically and turn them in to contenders in the money making sports.

LSU will still have King Alexander and political influences..

Hence, your problem will remain.

Alleva is the symptom, not the root of the problem.

He tried to tackle LSU's problems and was publicly cut off at the knees at the last minute. If I were him I would GTHO LSU ASAP. He is in a very undesirable situation.

The Miles mishap is on Jimbo saying no Fri night before game. Read whatever BS you want from people saying whatever. There are many who know the real story and it isn't any political bullshite. Y'all really think they had something in place for weeks and decided 'ah well, could look bad, never mind' ..as much as Alleva sucks and should be fired immediately, placing sole blame on him for Miles is misguided.

It has been clearly confirmed that King Alexander had the final say in the Les Miles keep/fire saga. He allowed the situation to escalate and uncertainty to swirl around the program for weeks. Then, at the last minute, he intervened and pulled the plug. He essentially stripped the AD's powers. And he did it in the messiest way possible. Moreover, he did so explicitly because of political considerations regarding LSU's budget concerns, even though TAF and LSU football's finances are very prosperous.

This is all from his own mouth and has been confirmed by just about every reporter that follows LSU closely.

All true. But, sometimes the boss has to step in when his guy is messing things up. Jimbo would probably be here if Alleva hadn't leaked and caused the huge PR issue.

I would agree if it is confirmed that Alleva was the leak. I don't know if he was or wasn't; from what I've read and heard, the leaks came from the Board of Supervisors and TAF members.

Not sure what, if anything, has been confirmed about the leak source.

If I were an up and coming athletic director I would run from the LSU job knowing that F King Alexander is still there. Run not walk

Any fan who knocks Alleva for his head coaching hires should hate Radakovich.

Too bad both Alexander and Alleva can't both leave at the same time.
