1)O has been around championship caliber teams and has experience winning championships.

2)the players are willing to run through walls for him. He knows how to get them going and they will fight tooth and nail for him. We saw it with them calling for him to be head coach.

3) he's a recruiting genius. This will allow us to further better our recruiting.

4) he has a lot of connections and has learned from some of the best coaches in America including Jimmy Johnson.

5) O isn't lazy and I'm positive he strives to learn something new everyday.

I am with you 100% I will be laughing when Herman blows up at Texas and O succeeds here....can't wait to stick a finger in some of these Nega-frickers faces....

I coach football for a living in high school. I'm pretty sure most of you have no clue how coaching actually works.

Okay? That has failed MANY coaches in the past.

The EXACT same was said for Les Miles, they still came out flat quite often.

College football is REALLY different, and Jimmy Johnson hasn't coached in over 10 years. If we ran Jimmy Johnson offense, we would lose often, and look stupid.

What the frick does this mean?

Awful reasons.

The guy has an interim record of 12-5 (I think) yes he wasn't great at Ole miss, but he has better talent here and the players will fight their arse off for him. I also think he brings in a great OC. The guy knows football, just listen to him talk at a coaching clinic.

It means that unlike miles who refused to adapt to the modern game, O is gonna go out of his way to keep LSU modern and change the offense to accomdate his players and put them in the best position to succeed. If you can't see the difference in the way the players played with O compared to miles then you are blind

that's a bit of an understatement

Hugh Freeze is doing a lot better at Ole Miss than O did. why didn't we just hire him?

The guy knows football,

so well that no other school has offered him a HC job post-Ole Miss

what secrets does LSU know about that literally nobody else is aware of?

Nobody has beat Bama this year. We loss by 10. Who else has come that close? Making comparisons to Bama is dumb when they have beaten the shite out of everybody they've played.

Joe Alleva said you learn more from mistakes than you do from success, so O has surely learned a lot.

It's absurd that you think someone can learn and adapt.

No I am not, I'm adding to my point that even the great coaches have bad games. Orgeron gets the same pass that they do. Apples to apples.
