Coach, none of us want you to leave LSU. It's just that most of us don't believe you should be named the permanent head coach. But you are doing a great job in the interim.

Whatever it takes to help LSU administration from making an obvious mistake. I am willing to delay gratification here.

The pro-O folks prefer instant gratification. Oh he's winning now? HIRE HIRE HIRE!

He's not qualified regardless of how well he fits.

Coach O is a fantastic recruiter (Miami and USC), a great motivator. He has worked under Jimmy Johnson and Pete Carroll. Carroll promoted to assistant head coach. He had some demons but he has acknowledge those mistakes and grown..

The change in this team through three games is unreal.

The man LOVES Louisiana and LSU. It's his dream job.

Regardless of Bama outcome, he should be at the top of the list once the season ends.

What kills me is how people like you automatically assume we do not love Coach O or want him to fail. We want Coach O and the tigers to kick everyone's arse that we play. We just do not feel he is the most qualified candidate for the job. You cant guage his success as interim to determine if he is the guy for the job. He is taking over a team loaded with talent and coaching.....much as he did as interim at USC. His only true time as head coach didnt fair so well. Has he changed or improved? Without a doubt, however do you risk the money and momentum of our program on someone like this? Absolutely not. There is a reason nobody has been knocking down the doors to hire O as head coach. If Ed was to go have success at a mid major school, by all means throw his name in the hat for the job. Until then, you have to go with the more qualified PROVEN coach.

not everyone - some are actively rooting against LSU or at least wouldn't mind seeing him lose to guarantee he doesn't get the job.

Miles was NOT a great coach anymore. He became a average to below average coach honestly.

Im sure there is one or two but thats a hell of a generalization to make. The vast majority of us want O to do well. We just want a stronger candidate.

I love coach O and think he's a great recruiter, motivator and position coach.
we could not have a better choice as interim coach for a highly talented team primarily assembled by others. There's an outside chance he could run the table.
However, O is not qualified to be HC of a top ten CFB program. He is actually in the right place at the right time now, but not as permanent Head coach.

Why should O get a free pass for Bama? If he wants to be considered, all games should count. Is he gonna get a free pass next year for Bama?
