If Aranda leaves I really hope Joe goes after Charlie Strong.

Let him focus on defense instead of running an entire program like Texas and I think he gets the job done.

If Aranda leaves I have no faith that Alleva would make an even decent hire.

"Goes after."

That's a nice thought that happens at other universities.

If he wasn't going to sign it why would he be recruiting?

Chicken, where are you on the hire given Herman and Fisher didn't work out? Say we keep Aranda and get Kiffin or Applewhite?

If I'm not mistaken, Texas still owes Charlie for the remainder of his contract. If he takes another job, they will pay the difference. For example, if he's getting $5 mil a year, Tx will pay $4 mil if he is paid $1 mil at another school. Just to screw with Texas, we should hire him for $100k a year to coach something on defense, let Texas pick up the rest of the tab. This way we keep Aranda and get Charlie as well, screwing Texas in the process. I may be wrong but I do believe I heard this on ESPN or read it on a sports page.
