I think this move is good for LSU

It stings a little and the timing sucks, but LSU has the chance to really upgrade at head coach and get someone for the long run.

The public perception of LSU's program has never been higher. LSU should be able to cherry pick a big name. Hopefully one that will unite the fan base. Miles had the fans split from game one or two. People never came back together.

I see LSU hiring someone with prior NFL head coaching experience.

If the talk is right and they do bring back Saban.....

My personal opinion is "NO" to Saban, but if they bring that lying SOB back and he wins the SEC or a NC he will be the most loved lying SOB in Louisiana!!!

...it should also give us some good momentum heading into recruiting season (assuming we hire a quality coach)!

I think you just described my future if he comes. And I do think we will win more NC's if he comes back. I have alsways said, as much as I don't respect him, that he is a great coach and recruiter (obviously)

Be honest, the guy left for the NFL. You all new he wanted that. Didn't work out, so he went back to college one year to late. bottom line.
