I'm still not convinced we're out of the woods just yet, but this is a positive thing for the program. Canada is on the rise as an OC, he's done well adapting as he moves through his career. I'm interested to see how he scheme's against more elite defenses with better athletes at his disposal.

I still don't care for the way this search was handled, but at least we made a good hire this time around. There is certainly an argument to made that LSU now has two of the top coordinators in the country. Well done O, let's hope you manage to keep it up.

I have to hand it to Coach O, keeping Aranda and getting a top notch OC. I'm at least willing to give him a shot. He seems to be doing all the right things so far.

If for no other reason...

Canada was the only OC of the top 5 finalists for the Broyles Award. 1500 assistants representing all 117 D1 college football programs vote on their peers. Nominations are reviewed by a selection committee composed of some of college football's former head coaches.. 4 DC and 1 OC.

Seems to me he might be the best..
