Doesnt say they are ready to pay the top salary that Miles gets now, just that they are going to move above the middle of the pack. There is a long way between the middle of the pack and the top 5 salaries.

For all who think the Mich plane at the airport right now in BR has "100% nothing to do with Miles" as per BP's last post, I just really don't know what to tell you.
Will you believe it when you see Miles walking up the stairs into the plane, or will you think he's going in there to donate his kidney?

a) you realize miles has to be in dallas on tuesday for a convention, right? thats where they will interview him.
b) why would UM send a plane to br to sit for 5 days? that makes no sense at all. nobody was in BR over the weekend, all the AD admin was at the game and any inquiries about contract(buyout) etc could have been handled via teleconference.
there is nothing that proves that plane is for the UM athletic dept. I would have been much more worried had they sent a plane to dallas on friday

1) the plane is owned by Rich Rogel, HUGE UM booster and is an executive VP for the medical board at UM
2) he is the guy shown on the news link getting off that plane
3) he lets faculty from UM use the plane, such as Rich Rod used it to go see family in West Virginia

MILES HAS BEEN IN B.R. SINCE SATURDAY!!!!
I have NO f'ing clue what planes are where or for what! But Dallas is about 1.5 hrs away from B.R.(via flight) You idiots are acting like it is Egypt the way y'all think Miles can't come home from Dallas and go back on Tuesday!
Seriously, I have a lot of trouble wrapping my mind around the assumption that a Jet is/was here from Michigan and it had ZERO to do with Miles.
It is NOT a conspriacy theory type deal going on here guys.
Michigan want a coach

They want to interview Miles
Miles got home Sat
Plane from Michigan arrives in B.R.
My guess is it was some preliminary fact gathering deal from the people of Michigan trying to find out how far apart the 2 sides would be IF Miles were ever to consider leaving. They go home and get with their group and go to Dallas on TUesday and tell him their package. Then it is YES or NO!
