Since everything is mere speculation at this point, I thought it would be an interesting mental exercise to consider Les taking the Michigan job. I think he could have them back to competing for a Big 10 title within 2 to 3 years. He would finally give Urban Meyer some competition in Ohio for recruits, and only has to get his team up to play 2 to 3 tough games per year. Imagine if he went there and hired Muschamp as DC. That would be scary.

What say you?

He isn't going to leave and have his alumni see how average he really is. He will die at LSU Before he leaves

I can almost guarantee you Les would have them competing for the division title by his second year... If not first year. His philosophy would be ideal for that shite bag of a conference. We know he'd recruit well. He's put so many players in the nfl, that alone lands him 3-4 players Michigan would've otherwise had little chance at.

As frustrating as it's seemed during Les' reign at LSU, what he does wins games. He just happens to be going up against the GOAT. Kinda like Phil Mickelson during the first decade of Tiger's career.

This is a good quote. You think about how good Jerry Sloan was, but guess what, you have to go through Phil. Only 1 team can have the best.

He'd do well recruiting and given they have pretty good talent already, he could have them relevant in the conference almost immediately. The Big Ten has 2 good teams in it, and one is just recently good in MSU.

I don't think MSU's recent run is how great they are but more a combination of their improvement and the drop off of other teams in the conference.

tOSU is not that much more talented than Michigan, and Michigan is much more talented than MSU.

Given their talent and players, Les is a great fit if he would choose to go. I see it kind of like how Saban fit at LSU in 2000-2001. The players he had in place were great for his system and it was just a matter of him fitting what the team needed.

Les could be that for Michigan.
