Somebody at LSU royally fricked up. If not Alleva, then a booster? Member of the TAF? Member of the Board of Supervisors?
Let's review. It's widely reported that LSU is negotiating w/ Jimbo Fisher's agent. Does anybody doubt that happened? Officially, LSU is silent ...but somebody leaks info to the press.
By his silence, Alleva lends credence to the reports Miles will be bought out and fired. He allows a ton of negative publicity to be generated. The kids committed to sign with LSU in two months know that the LSU administration has serious concerns about Miles.
So, Alleva (or somebody) has (1) fricked the LSU reputation nationwide; (2) cut Les Miles at the knees by a very tepid "vote of confidence" that I bet will screw up on signing day; (3) failed to get his man, Jimbo Fisher.
Well done, Joe.

Not to mention shaken the confidence of some of the 2016 recruits. We will see what changes are forced.

So, Alleva is going to pretend that none of this shite with Fisher's agent occurred? Doesn't wash. Les has acted all week like this would be his last game. He obviously thought he was gone. He said he didn't know he was still the coach until after the game.
Alleva is horrible. I can't think of a worse outcome out of all of this.
He fricks up the Fisher deal, keeps Les, but as an added bonus, cuts Les' knees out from under him by actively looking to line up an expensive buyout, and hire FSU's coach.
I can't express how unbelievably bad Alleva looks. If he is a scapegoat, a fall guy, someone is going to have to explain to me why.
