Have we lost all sense of historical context on Jimbo?

FSU is not some friggin stepping stone school. It is nothing short of amazing that we may pry away a coach from that level of football program. A guy who won the conference 3 years in a row, who's only 3 years removed from an undefeated national championship season, and is still winning at a very high level.

Herman's great, but:

A. let's not act like Jimbo's some kind of fallback plan

B. this speaks extremely well for the state of our program

We would be very lucky to make a hire like that.

You LSU people have said this before and what did it get you?

Many keep acting like he is going to leave when the odds of that are slim, like we have seen before

If Lsu wants jimbo bad enough they will get him most likely. It's no secret to ppl close to the program that he has always loved Lsu. We have a solid chance 50-50 would be my guess. That's good odds. If jimbo does come here FSU fans may end up pretty happy cuz they may get Herman

Look, there's always some luck and timing involved. You can't control every variable. What it's gotten us is good shots at great coaches in the past (Spurrier, Meyer), and maybe even better ones now.

What I'm saying (really to fellow LSU fans, so feel free to frick off) is that no one can deny that the scenario I described speaks volumes about the program. And Jimbo rocks.
