The only people who do that are usually rural south Louisiana boomer types (most of whom have zero non-athletic ties to the university). They're the same people who voted for Edwin Edwards and Blanco because of the "one of us" reason instead of voting for the more competent candidate. Their opinions shouldn't be valued.
