Geaux get Briles

Keep him out of recruiting for his first year. Just let him work as an OC. Let Coach O and staff do the recruiting heavy lifting.
Make it clear that Briles will have no roles which are similar to the areas which he got into trouble for at Baylor.
He wants a fresh start. He would be incentived to abide to strict guidelines and limited to pure OC strategy and play calling. Nothing else.
He will not get a HC job for foreseeable future, and he would love the challenge as LSU OC to bring a powerful offensive component to our team, and would love the opportunity to compete head-to-head in the SEC West.
Take the risk and Geaux get him.
LSU with Coach O inspiring/recruiting/organizing, Briles with our offense, and Aranda with our defense would be super tough to beat.
If Alleva decides the move is too risky, hire his son Kendal as OC, with Art as a consultant.

Kiffin is just an a-hole. Briles on the other hand would be a PR nightmare with the whole rape thing. It's still way too early to even consider the guy coming to an elite university.

I'd be ecstatic with an Art Briles hire. When he was at Baylor he had my favorite offense in the country by FAR. Baylor was top 10 in passing and top 10 in rushing while he was there if I'm not mistaken. His offense with Arandas defense could actually make this thing work.

I disagree....everyone laughed at Saban for bringing Kiffen and then Sark....we should bring him in, screw what the media says about "baggage", and go win....i honestly believe he was a scapegoat in all of this anyway, but that's my opinion

I dont think Briles is some wild card or something though. He's mature enough to realize how short of a leash he would be on. I honestly think he's an Alright guy and just made some bad decisions at Baylor.

It doesn't matter what we believe happened, Baylor fired him and had an ultra shady/private/confidential oral report done by the law firm so no one is going to know what Briles actual involvement was.
