FootballScoops's Take on the LSU Search - Including Saban, Meyer, Stoops

If Orgeron doesn’t earn the job, sources tell FootballScoop that LSU’s committee believes they can and should land a home run. “Their sights are on national championship caliber, proven head coaches,” a source with knowledge told FootballScoop this morning. During the initial, exploratory phase, we are told to expect LSU, through representatives, to gauge the interest of some of the top coaches in college football, including Nick Saban, Urban Meyer, Bob Stoops, Jimbo Fisher and Tom Herman. Right or wrong, sources tell FootballScoop that LSU believes they will be able to attract a coach of that caliber. Although the finances of LSU always seem to be changing, I have no reason to believe the powers that be at LSU will struggle to obtain whatever funding they need to attract the right coach. A source we spoke with this morning didn’t bat an eye when saying “Money will not be an issue here. Donors are ready to take care of a championship caliber coach appropriately.”
Very very interesting info in here, some of it not really believable but I guess we will see.

I hope y'all have more oil wells than Texas.

I don't see the issue with kicking the tires on basically every big name guy.

Taking away the other reasons Saban wouldn't come back, he's ripping LSU a new one for how they handled Les.
I think we can wipe his name off the white board.

Bob Stoops. Hell fricking no.

Yea, I don't take any issue with what was written. Are they going to pull those guys? Probably not, but the point is that the plan is to catch a marlin, not a tarpon.

I wonder how much Sexton paid this guy to add Saban's name in there?

While there is a snowballs chance in hell Meyer comes here they wouldn't be doing their due diligence if they didn't make him say no.

Is this a narrative around the country about LSU or is this guy just a hack?

Its probably true. We have a new weightroom and all but the bar has been raised by some of these new facilities that are being built around the nation.

Well I haven't seen LSU get mentioned on any of the recent "best facilities" lists. And I would know, as an Aggie those lists are like moral victory candy.
