Are there any initiatives in motion to relieve Alleva of his duties? Something needs to be done, LSU's brand name has been taking hit after hit and it's clear he isn't the right man for the job at LSU. Anyone got sauces on this?

Start with firing that bitch Edwards and Alexander who put the pressure on him to go cheap. Make no mistake this has everything to do with their fricking budget fiasco from the spring and throwing the at the fans for calling out their sorry asses about how TAF works as well as the LSU AD budget.

A good AD would be able to effectively communicate a successful plan to the admins and get there support or he would resign. Joe is getting pushed around by all sides and it's sad for this fan base.

F King Alexander has Alleva's nuts in a jar on his desk. A very small jar.

Alexander runs lsu and he has his bitch in Alleva. Total control over him, does his bidding, and receives all the blame for the failures of leadership and lack of accomplishments.

Alleva ain't going nowhere.

Alexander wouldn't allow it.

I know people say this all the time. Is this fact? Is Alleva really F-Kings little bitch?

I am still in shock the big money boosters did not raise hell with the hiring Orgeron.

I wonder what kind of results a poll would yield for Alleva's performance level. Heck, O got the majority of the votes for HC, maybe people think Alleva is doing a good job. We really are delusional I guess.

Do you really think LSU head football coach is hired without the approval of LSU president, board of supervisors, and boosters? You are really naive if you think Alleva is the only one who makes these decisions. I bet he even had the approval of the Louisiana Governor and we know at least 76% of the fans wanted Orgeron.

Can't believe this thread hasn't gotten whacked yet. I started one about 4 days ago and it was whacked almost immediately. I guess Chicken is just afraid of my posts!

The athletic department is an absolute mess right now, it's disgusting. I can't believe people will contribute at the levels they've been to watch the athletic department run like this. I give every year and it's going to be a difficult decision if I want to this year. Donors should wish their money goes to the institution they love so not only the teams will be successful on the field, but so the teams will be successful and generate a nice return on the investment given by the donors. It's hard to give to this administration and not feel the money is being squandered.
The following reasons:
1. They had 2 months to conduct a thorough coaching search and the best they could do was get two guys that were obvious to anyone with a brain. Hell, what are we paying Alleva for? Any moron could have just hired Orgeron after Herman told him no. IF Mal Moore had taken no for answer with Saban, Alabama is likely not the power they are now.
2. The basketball program could be a nice revenue generator, but we have a bargain basement coach who may be the worst in the country. Instead of firing him last year when it was painfully obvious he was in over his head, they give the dunce another year.

Link to this? I haven't heard a word about Edwards playing a role in this.

It was rumored that Jindal stopped the Les firing last year. If true, it's pretty ironic the guy who helped bankrupt the State is the one who fricked over LSU football on his way out the door.

Eta: here's my link.

There also was political pressure in the highest form.

Gov. Bobby Jindal, a friend to Miles, made calls to high-ranking officials before Saturday’s game. He expressed his concern at how the situation had been handled and encouraged officials not to part ways with the coach, a source said.

“LSU made the right decision in retaining Coach Miles,” Jindal said in a statement to The Advocate earlier this week. “As the (second) winningest coach in LSU history, he earned it.”

So i wouldn't place blame on Edwards unless you can show me otherwise. Jindal is the one who fricked Louisiana at every turn...even football.
