I would swap fedora and fleck but otherwise I agree. I would put fuente at a 7-8 as well. Fedora would do well at UT. I am suprised ppl discount what he's done at Unc. Obviously they are ignorant to that situation

Fedora has tutelage under Gundy. He runs mixes of pro, spread and hunh concepts. He won a conf title at So miss (beating sumlin at Houston). A conf USA title is very similar to an American conf title. Basically a different dress. He wins at a basketball school that has a narrow focus on football and is in a state with less than stellar recruiting. He took Clemson to the brink right before they came up short to bama in the natty. His qb is the #2 rated qb in the acc behind Watson and above Jackson, Francois and kaaya. Some consider trubisky to be above Watson in the draft. His Rb is 8th in the conf in rushing. That's not terrible when you consider some of the guys above (cook, Jackson). He's not my first choice, but I wouldn't panic if we ended up with him. We say we're "on the cusp" and need an offensive mind. He's still an upgrade over miles and O.

I won't be unhappy at all if its Fedora.

Some say he is a lousy recruiter, and to be honest I would be a lot happier with him if he had been able to bring more of the better NC talent to North Carolina, as Butch Davis had some success doing (but not totally), and Butch Davis was a bigger name draw because of his Miami success (also, Butch Davis recruited a lot of academic suspects and got in trouble trying to keep them eligible).

I think that would take time, though, for Fedora to turn North Carolina recruiting around - he would have to establish his program as a proven winner and a viable alternative to going out of state, as most of the best NC recruits do. Mac Brown was able to do it after several years, and I think Fedora might do it too if his program continues to rise.

There are several in-state schools competing for NC talent, and there is no great football tradition at NC and the state's best recruits have almost always gone elsewhere. In Tennessee's heyday, they use to get some of NC's best.

If you look at the state of NC's recruits over the last ten or so years (247 site), they typically have maybe 0-1 5-Star recruits, sometimes 2, between 4-10 or so 4-Star players, and around 35-55 3-Star players. Fedora has been getting mostly a handful of the 3-Star players, and then going out of state to find others, also mostly 3-Star players.

The best players in NC have traditionally gone out-of-state, to Florida, FSU, Clemson, Georgia and Tennessee, Ohio State, Notre Dame, etc., but particularly the SEC schools, even South Carolina gets a few. LSU has even picked off a few of them.

I think Fedora's offense would probably be pretty successful at LSU and he could recruit well to it, but that remains to be seen. I think he is a really bright offensive mind, and I think he likes balance. I hope he is like Herman in that he believes that you first and foremost build your offense around power, not finesse. What he would do with better players also remains to be seen, I guess.

Been okay with Fedora this entire time. LSU doesn't need a superstar coach to get 10 wins a year. LSU did it without an offense under Miles

I agree 100%, research what he does, watch his games, thats what Ive been doing the last 3/4 days. His offenses are good, really good.. and he makes really good adjustments in the second half.. it is definitely an attacking style of offense, you pair that with our athletes and aranda at DC! man that could be fun to watch!

Our defense is not going to take a hit, Fedora is smart, he will retain aranda, and we have a solid reputation, we have the ability to attract top DC's with our pay/Recruiting/reputation/and tradition.

Hell Ive gotten to the point where Id take Fedora/Gundy/Morris over Herman and Fisher..

Herman is going to Texas, thats a done deal
Fisher is not worth the money he is asking, yes he has a NT and he is a good recruiter no doubt. But clemson/NC and Va TEch/ Miami have given him all he can handle..

Have said from the start, Fedora would wreck shop at LSU.

I don't know if he would do better than Herman or Jimbo, but LSU fans should be ecstatic if you get him.
