Out of the realistic names mentioned this is the one I am most comfortable with. I'm happy if it's true.

Strong has proven to be able to recruit outside of his employer's state, particularly Florida.
With the resources at UT, he will do fine. Would be the best hire they could make.

I couldn't agree more. I just hope this comes to fruition.

I have little doubt Strong would accept the job if he was offered.

Here is what I am hoping for: Hart is a classy fellow and doesn't wanna piss in Fulmer's cheerios tonight, thus the leaking of Strong hasn't gotten out.

What I think has happened. They haven't offered it to anyone yet. If they did word would have gotten out. The job will be offered to someone tomorrow.

John L Smith is still available if you run out of other options. Houston Nutt would probably answer his phone too if you blocked the Knoxville phone number.

Agree. I just don't see Strong leaving Louisville, he seems loyal to me.

This would be a great hire and possibly could make TSIO competitive again.
So, yall just want to be "Competitive" again, as in fourth place in the SEC east behind UGA, UF and USCe? I'd be comfortable with somebody that has a lot more proven winning experience as a head coach at a big time program. Several years at Louisville aint exactly what I'm talking about. Should be better than Dooley though, (That wouldn't be very hard) but I don't think Richt, Muschamp,or Spurrier are losing any sleep over this hire.
