Why would Kiffin leave the best program in the country with the best coach in the country for the same job at a less successful program and work under an old assistant of his?

This exactly. People want to hire a coach who can't coach, but don't worry because he'll just hire other people to do that. And if those aren't the greatest don't worry they can just hire other assistants who know what they're doing.

Let's make since here!! Kiffen runs a pro style offense with a little twist of spread concepts. He adjusts to the talent at hand. Lsu and bama and USC personnel so similiar it's eerie. You can't just run spread with 6 5 wideouts with no wiggle. The reason gage is playing is because of work ethic and a little wiggle. We only have had 2 guys with wiggle recruited in the last 4 yrs and there both gone. A smart man realizes that hermans offense takes a certain player to work. Herman had the luxury of following guys at Houston who recruited spread skill kids as well as spreadLINEMAN. Not saying Herman can't do it here but it will take time to get those plAyers on board through recruiting. Kiffen is a west coast offense guy who can adapt. Quit busting your balls on the possibility of O and kiffen
