Times Picyane usually doesn't publish grey area stories to stir the bullshite. they have historically published stories around LSU hires that had serious legs. They have good sources. I give a lot of their credit to the late Peter Finney .

Aranda isn't ready nor does he want to be a HC right now. 247 insiders said he knows he needs to refine is recruiting. Hell LF even said he's kind of wierd and quiet. I'm not sure he's ready to do all the nuances that a HC has right now. By all accounts he just wants to coach defense right now. Some have even hinted he may pull a monte kiffen and just be a life long DC. Either way he's not ready yet imo. 247 also reported unless something crazy happens he will be at Lsu next year

Welcome to the New Media. However, the last 3 big breaking stories around LSU coaching decisions that ESPN sourced was the Times Picayune. The Bleacher Report pushed the story out nationally and linked the Times Picayune article. They have been consistent on reporting hard news around LSU coaching hires because they usually have legs.

I haven't read that anywhere on the 247 board. All of the insiders have been fairly quiet when discussing the coaching position for about a month now.

Its been proven multiple times that people have legit sources and call out things like this week's before the media even knows.
Its not unheard of.
