Do we need to lose to Florida or AtM in order to avoid hiring O? I can't believe we even have to be in this situation but I have no faith in the administration to do what should he done on this.

We have Urban Meyer 2.0 or maybe Jimbo available and our admin, along with our retard fan base, is going to allow Ed Orgeron to be the next HC at LSU.

If we have to lose a game to avoid him becoming HC then I'm fine with it.

Sounds like there's gonna be a lot of pressure to keep O as head coach if we don't. Who knows if Alleva is strong enough to say screw you to all that or not. I'm hanging on to his comment a while back where he said , "I am the search." Maybe he's dug in and said F it, I'm
Not gonna be seen as weak and I'll hire my guy no matter who it pisses off

I can hope right ?

I'm not going to actively root against LSU but if we lose one of these next two I won't be nearly as upset as I otherwise would have been.

I'm all for losing 1-3 more games if it means I don't have to watch the program continue to decline with O steering the ship.

LSU fans wants Miles gone

LSU fans wants success and wins

LSU finishes 6-1 under different coach with a possible BCS bid

LSU fans can't believe the terrible situation.

Really. You really thing they are putting the future of the program on games that we would have been favored to win anyways outside of the Bama game? Great decision.

Agree this is where I am. I definitely want the Tigers to win but in the unlikely event they lose there is a little consolation knowing that should fully eliminate O from contention. I think Fisher is the #1 target and it's his to turn down. I just want someone else as the fallback plan instead of O.

Quit being such a PUSSY. LSU will be fine with any of the mentioned candidates as coach.

Drop a game? Really? Haven't we "dropped" enough games already this year?

Yes. The O boys will use a sugar bowl bid as major ammo to get their boy the job. I'll still be rooting for lsu but a loss won't make me sad.

No where am I advocating O being the #1 choice as coach.

I just find the complete melt here dramatic and childish.

As a coach of this team so far this year, O hasn't made very many blunders to warrant this much hate. Other than Alabama, who I think is also in the heads of the players, he's been pretty fricking good. And he's recruiting an amazing class and keeping them together somehow. It's amazing there hasn't been any decommits since Les was fired. There's a 5* WR that may be leaning to LSU who hasn't since his jr year.

Honestly, if I were him and knew the fans had this much faith in me, I'd make it a priority to come back and give a little back to you from somewhere else.

He's not my first choice, but I also don't think he'd crash the fricker into the wall either.

The objective is not to be fine. The objective is to be a dominant program that wins the SEC more often than it does not. The objective is to win national championships and use the excellence of the football program to transform and upgrade the university.

This is why is matters. This is why you can't hire a position coach with a questionable (at best) history. This is why you can't hire someone who has never once in his history as head coach (or interim coach) spurred his team to exceed average results for the talent on the team.

This is why LSU must hire a coach with a real likelihood of being dominant. Either a proven commodity with NC level achievement or an outstanding young coach who has NC potential - demonstrated by making his teams outperform their recruiting rankings.

Or we can just win out and regardless if we do, hopefully Alleva isn't dumb enough and also has the balls not to hire O because of the reaction from our idiots fans, and hires the RIGHT coach for us like either Jimbo or Herman.

Maybe not this game with Akers and Wilson visiting, but if we lose against A&M they'll probably keep Sumlin so there's that.

I was no fan of Les Miles, but if you're going to fire a coach with his record (especially four games into the season), Orgeron's name isn't even on your list for the next coaching hire if you have half a brain!

Agree. He's not my top choice but I think he'd at least do as well as Leslie did from 2008-2014

I'm ok with LSU losing to avoid O. Season is lost anyway from keeping idiot Miles last year. O doesn't deserve to back door into a job he is not qualified for. If we lose to aTm we may have added benefit of the Aggots keeping Sumlin

You motherfrickers are just a bunch of miserable people.
You would take losing a game or 2 just not to hire someone.
You are fans.
Fans support their team no matter what.
Instead of watching the game to how bout you go outside and plants some flowers.......
