It's hard to believe that a PAC 12 team could be the biggest dumpster fire in all of college football

They went the way of Tulane and quit on their football program as a school. Too many dope smoking hippies.

Shame. They were once a power

Long story short in case you didn't follow conference alignment...

Pac12 and Texas set up a deal for Texas, A&M, OU, Ok St, Baylor, and Texas Tech to go to the Pac. A&M said frick that we are fine in the B12 but if y'all go West, we're going East. Colorado got scared of being left out and hopped to Pac. Pac thought this way they could leave out Texas Tech or Baylor.

Texas didnt want A&M in the SEC so they decided to scrap the deal and stay in the Big 12. Pac had to grab Utah to not be stuck with 11 schools.

FF a year. Texas starts the LHN. It pisses A&M off and we said frick you guys we are going East now. Texas shopped themselves around but no conference would take them with the LHN. OU tried to leave but nobody would take them with Ok St and without Texas. So Texas saves the B12 again and brings in TCU and WVU.

Mizzou shopped themselves to the B10 every chance they got for 2 years but couldn't get in. SEC was their way out of the B12. SEC took them because they add St Louis and KS City media markets for the forthcoming SEC TV Network that's going to make billions

So yeah. Buyers remorse. Only took CU to get rid of Baylor when they thought they were getting Texas and OU

uhh no. CU had wanted to be in the Pac for a very long time. This was no sudden thing for them. Pac was happy to take CU b/c of the Denver TV market.

Utah was an ok get b/c of the Salt Lake City TV market.

Between the two states there are around 8 million people. They knew they were going to start up their own network and were happy to have the two schools to add to their footprint.

There is no buyers remorse at all.

as for whats going on at CU, their AD is a dipshit and coaches don't want to go there b/c you can't currently trust him or the admin.

It already looks like they purposely sabotaged one of their own with the Embree debacle. The entire coaching staff was getting $3 million combined with his cut only being $750k. Thats less than some CUSA schools.

They weren't given simple things like waters and sports drinks for staff, Embree had to buy that stuff for them on his own. They weren't even given enough chairs for all the players to sit in film sessions. Even their greatest former coach Dan McCartney, the man who brought them a MNC, thinks they purposely screwed him over.

The theory is they essentially used Embree as a stop gap coach and would find a reason to dump him once the Pac 12 money started coming in to hire a name. They knew the team was a mess post Hawk so whoever they hired as the stop gap was going to be screwed no matter what. This was their youngest team since 96 and it was beset by too many injuries to ever have a real shot.

Even with that mess, they seemed to get Jones to buy in. All they had to do was make sure everyone in the know kept their fat mouths shut so Butch Jones could tell his team face to face he was leaving. Somebody leaked it anyway and he was pissed enough he told them never mind. If he couldn't trust them on something so simple, why would they be any better with other things?

Besides the fact that there isnt a large commitment from the university to the football program, a large problem is due Colorado state employment laws. Besides the head coach, no one on the staff is allowed to have a contract longer than a year. Itd be hatd as hell to build a good staff like that.

But to answer the question theres always Bobby Petrino lol

As I said earlier, I have it on good authority that even as we speak, The Boulder Braintrust is scouring Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transexual community centers all over the country in search of an indigenous, multilingual, eco-friendly, Ramadan-observent, Nambla-endorsed candidate who believes that fairness and not victory is the goal in all Patriarchal-Hate- Sports .

Go Buffs !

Worst job of any major conference. The administration doesn't care about athletics.

Even though I live in CO I'm not a Buffs fan. The CU program has gone downhill since Crowder & McCartney left. It's time for the current CU leadership to sh*t or get off the pot. Either make a committment to getting the program back on solid ground or give up big time football.

Here's a link to a pretty good article in the Denver Post.

Yeah, I lived in Boulder and was a CU ticket holder for eight years in the 90's. It had a special atmosphere then. Now, not so much...

I would of called Petrino right off the bat if I was colorado. Especially now that Auburn is out of the mix. They need a drastic change in that program and something that will get people to realize they still play football there.
