His run game worked pretty well at Ohio State when they ran all over Bama. Better rb, Better line = better run game. Simple?
His o line sucks at Houston and his best RB is the quarterback.

Better talent on Louisville, a mediocre OL, and below-average running backs.
Smart coaches adjust their scheme based on their players. Tom Herman's scheme is still predicated on the power run but he's smart enough to realize he doesnt have the talent to run over a school like Louisville.
