LSU needs a damn Qb coach/OC to move over the hump. That's it.Find a qb developer that knows the strengths/ limitations of his qbs. Outside perspective is usually the most realistic fwiw.

Jimbo and Herman are not in the same class as Saban, Meyer, or harbaugh

And how many coaches did they hire and fire before they wound up with the ones they have now? Timing and a bit of luck are more important than money.

Then why did you fire a NC winning coach in September only to hire the DL coach?

What do you expect when an a-hole like FKing is talking part of the interviews.

The point is Michigan, Alabama, and Ohio State hired the best coach they could possibly hire. And they are reaping the benefits of doing that.

You're crazy if you think Orgeron is the best LSU can do.

And there it is, folks. The average LSU fan believing that LSU is just so special and unique. You all deserve the next four years (or decade, maybe).
Congrats on the hire!

You pay big money for Harbaugh and Saban. Not for Herman.

No, dumbass. But LSU could have gone after somebody other than the fricking DL coach.

Ed O is 12-4 in his last 16 games as an HC under less than optimal circumstances. His two losses this season were to Bama, who he played better than anyone else in the country and the SEC East Champ who came in with a huge grudge. His 6 wins against SEC opponents were all blow outs. He did that with a TE coach as OC and a mediocre QB.

I'm not dismissing his stint at Ole Miss, but let's not dismiss what he's accomplished of late.

Let's wait and see if he retains Aranda and gets a good OC. No one we could have hired is beating Saban more than 2 times in the next 5 years, You know how I know this? Cause no coach has done that in all of college football.

If O can keep the pantry stocked and make us the 2nd best team in the West til Saban retires, it's mission accomplished. Also, he's leaving us with a lot of money in the coffers to make a move if necessary.

We could be dodging a bullet with Herman. Who knows? Give it a chance!

If you are referring to pollack he got his arse kicked twice during the 2003 season by LSU. He was insignificant in TS and Atlanta.

Who, exactly is the Harbaugh you speak of? You aren't outbidding Alabama, OSU or Michigan for their coaches so who do you think is the Harbaugh?
